If you ask my mother, she’ll be more than glad to tell you the story of the first word I learned. In Super Mario Bros 3. whenever you would hit the start button, the word “Pause” would appear on the screen. Yes, “Pause” is my very first word. Is that geeky enough for you? I began my journey on the Nintendo Entertainment System and it has not stopped, and likely never will.

I grew up in Fort Scott, Kansas before moving to Kansas City in 2004 to go to college to become a minister. What, you don’t believe me? It’s completely true. When I graduated in 2008 I became a teacher at a private Christian school, and began working at the Gregory Hills Church in Kansas City as their Associate Pastor for Youth and Family. It’s what I love to do, and is my primary focus in life.

On August 27th, 2005 I met the love of my life, Stacie Lynn Kelso, and we were married on November 1st, 2008. We have a cat, Faith, who is my gaming buddy. She loves to lay on my chest while I recline and spend time playing video games. My wife is also a gamer, and we spend a lot of time on the various co-op experiences available for the Wii and Xbox 360.

My passion is my work, but writing about and playing games is my main hobby. Feel free to add me on the PSN, or Xbox LIVE for a round or two of whatever is available to be played.
